Longtime family friend Suzanne Mados said Ben Gazzara died Friday in Manhattan. Mados, who owned the Wyndham Hotel before he was hospitalized in Belleveu Hospital Center because his pancreatic cancer. Ben Gazzara died in friday in a place where celebrities such as Peter Falk and Martin Sheen stayed. Ben Gazzara died leaving his wife; German-born Elke Krivat, daughter Elizabeth and Danja and a brother.
