Tim Thomas, Boston Bruins goaltender never move during the national anthem and stand completely still. He stands still just like a statue with his eyes keep focusing towards the american flag. If we see at how he act, there is no denying the Thomas patriotism. He is representing the team from USA and he said it was the most memorable moments on his career to be able of representing his country.

However, when the president of USA invites you and your team to honor your Stanley Cup championship in White house, you go represent your team. Tim Thomas instead chose to represent himself on Monday. He was create a statement on his Facebook page explaining his decision. You can see the statement on his facebook or on the the end of this post.

Tim Thomas decision definitely will make a great sparks of debate among his fans since he’s a fan favorites. He can be considered as the best and the greatest goalie in the franchise history. Earlier in his career when he played overseas, he was considered a hockey god in Finland for all his success there.

Tim Thomas Statement:

I believe the Federal government has grown out of control, threatening the Rights, Liberties, and Property of the People.
This is being done at the Executive, Legislative, and Judicial level. This is in direct opposition to the Constitution and the Founding Fathers vision for the Federal government.
Because I believe this, today I exercised my right as a Free Citizen, and did not visit the White House. This was not about politics or party, as in my opinion both parties are responsible for the situation we are in as a country. This was about a choice I had to make as an INDIVIDUAL.
