Warren Buffett: Berkshire Would Love For Ajit Jain To Be The Next CEO
Billionaire investor Warren Buffett, the world’s third-richest man based on Forbes Rich List, now continuing his whirlwind around Asia Tour. And with him there are Berkshire Hathaway’s reinsurance head, Ajit Jain. Buffett said that if Ajit Jain want to be the next CEO then then he will be there in a minute. “the board of directors would probably put him in there in a minute,” Buffett told reporters.
But he preempted that with, “he loves what he does, he’s not looking to take my job.” The things is that Warren Buffett now at age of 80. Even Buffett said that he was far away from retirement. But, Buffett require and has a succession plan in place. So, if there is something happen to Buffett. Then there will be the one who replaces his job and can continue the company as CEO.
Berkshire has four candidates which is in line for Warren Buffett‘s role, which is will be spitted into two major places which is CEO and head of investments when he finally departs. The firm has never stated on who the four peoples that are meet their requirement to be next CEO, but bets are on Jain, David Sokol. Greg Abel, Matt Rose, or new portfolio manager Todd Combs.
